9 9 Julian Draxler: Schalke – The Metro and The Star, report that Tottenham will make a £17m bid for long term Arsenal target Draxler. The Schalke star was close to joining the Gunners last season and apparently the 20-year-old could yet end up in north London. That would be some coup. Dejan Lovren: Southampton – Sadly for Spurs, it seems the Southampton defender has his heart set on joining Liverpool, to the annoyance of Saints legend Matt Le Tissier. Lovren was quoted as saying his head is already on Merseyside. 9 9 Michel Vorm and Ben Davies – click the arrow to see more news and rumours about Spurs’ summer transfer targets – After looking like a deal for left-back Davies was close, over the last few days reports claim that Spurs would put a bid in for both Davies and team-mate Vorm, offering Gylfi Sigurdsson in return. It didn’t happen, though apparently Spurs will still try and sign Davies before the season begins on 16 August. However, Liverpool could be interested. 9 9 9 Wilfried Bony: Swansea – It’s not just Davies who Liverpool will rival Spurs for, with the left-back’s Swansea team-mate Bony also a Reds target. The Welsh club will want around £20m for the striker a year after signing him for £12m. Serge Aurier: Toulouse – I’m free to talk to anyone I want. The Ivory Coast right-back’s comment should come as great news to Tottenham fans. Aurier was linked with Arsenal, but a transfer to the Emirates is dead after the Gunners signed Mathieu Debuchy, however, Aurier added, I have always preferred a move to England, because it is the league that suits me the best. Enner Valencia: Pachuca – Apparently Tottenham are among eight European clubs monitoring Ecuador star Enner Valencia, who scored three goals in the World Cup group stage. Stoke, Everton and West Ham are the interested sides from England, but Fiorentina and Napoli as well as Valencia and Sevilla are the others from Italy and Spain. Divock Origi: Lille – Will Tottenham swoop at the last minute and hijack Liverpool’s deal for Origi? No, appears to be the answer to that, with the 19-year-old on the brink of joining the Reds in a £10m deal. He has had talks with manager Brendan Rodgers, though there was hope for Spurs when he said: I myself am still thinking about it. 9 9 Jamaal Lascelles: Forest – Tottenham and Arsenal were linked to 20-year-old Lascelles last season and it looks like Spurs are still keen. The Mail say the club are set to offer Forest £5m and to sweeten the deal, will loan him back to the City Ground. QPR have already been turned down. Hugo Lloris and Jan Vertonghen – While there is good news is Hugo Lloris signing a new contract, we end with bad news here. There is a large Carles Puyol-shaped hole in the Barcelona defence and the Spanish club are on the lookout for a new defender and may target Vertonghen if they fail to clinch deals for Marquinhos and Jeremy Mathieu.
