“Felt too comfortable at Newcastle” – Player reveals he found ‘real…

first_imgTim Krul joined Newcastle United’s academy in the summer of 2005 and made his first team debut in November 2006. The Netherlands international didn’t feature regularly until the 2010/11 season and from then he was the first-choice goalkeeper until he picked up a knee injury in October 2015.He revealed the road to recovery was mentally challenging, and he failed to find his place back with the Tyneside club. After a few disappointing loan spells, he joined Brighton & Hove Albion on a permanent deal in 2007, where he was the second-choice keeper. Norwich City signed him last summer and has been a regular for them in the Championship, making 33 appearances.Krul remains hopeful the Canaries can return to the Premier League so that he can have a proper send-off when Norwich face Newcastle next season.“Still, it is very sad that I left via the back door. That’s why it would only be nice if we were to promote with Norwich. Then I can officially say goodbye there,” Dutch newspaper AD quote the 30-year-old as saying.“Maybe I felt a bit too comfortable at Newcastle. I found the real hunger that I now have again the last couple of years.”Embed from Getty Images“I am fresher and better than ever. I am grateful that I played 33 games this season. At Newcastle I lived more in a daze, although I have experienced gigantic beautiful things. I cannot wait to show people that things are good with me.”Norwich are currently leading the table with 63 points after 33 games, two points ahead of second place Sheffield United. Fort St. John Cab companies apply to more cars on the road

first_imgFORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Fort St. John City Council gave Teco Taxi and Fort St. John Cab’s conditional support to increase tax service in the Fort St. John.On October 19, both Teco Taxi and Fort St. John Cab’s applied to the Passenger Transportation Board to increase taxi service by two vehicles.  The two companies are owned by the same person and operate a total of 17 taxi licences. When a taxi company applies for more licences, the Passenger Transportation Board asks the Municipality for their input.- Advertisement -Councillor Byron Stewart put forward a motion that Council only support the expansion if the new taxi’s are wheelchair accessible.  Even with the motion, the Passenger Transportation Board doesn’t have to follow the City’s request.Councillor Klassen was the only Councillor to vote against the motion.  Klassen said he couldn’t support the motion because the Passenger Transportation Board and the applicant didn’t provide any background information to support the request and gave the City of Fort St. John only five days to respond.  City Manager Diane Hunter said one reason for the request could be the recently released Hara Report.  The Province of B.C. commissioned the Hara Report and look at what rideshare services like Uber would do to the taxi industry.  The report recommended adding over 200 cabs in communities outside the Lower Mainland.Advertisementlast_img read more
