Growing up in Cincinnati in the 90’s, Freekbass was exposed to a wide array of musical influences. While others were listening to Green Day and Nirvana, Freek was getting weird with funky low-end legends like Zapp Band and Midnight Star. It’s no wonder that the prolific bassist titled his new, forthcoming album CINCINNATI, as the music is a culmination of all of Freekbass’s projects and influences. There’s some pieces of his own funk, some electrofunk from with The Headtronics, and some influences from friend and mentor Bootsy Collins. All in all, if there’s one label for CINCINNATI, it’s Freeky!Due out on December 11th, we’re proud to debut the leading single from the new album. Listen to “Put It In A Letter” below:Speaking about the album, Freekbass says, “With the last album, producer Duane [Lundy] and I were just starting to know each other. On this album we have since worked on many projects together and thus have a strong feel and vision where we want the music to go. Plus, I had taken some time off from touring with my own band before starting the last album. With this one , we have been hitting it pretty hard on the road as a band so we were used to playing together. Plus we spent a lot of time on writing songs and preproduction before we even got in the studio. With all of the touring leading up to the recording I feel more confident as a player, singer, and songwriter than I have in a long time.”CINCINNATI is due out on December 11th. A church in Dallas, Texas has made it their mission to help people who are struggling financially. Earlier this year the pastor of Crossed Timbers told members to take money from the collection plate if they needed it, even though church donations were down. That day they had the largest collection ever. Video Below, from KDAF and CNN.com

ABC/Image Group LA(NEW YORK) — Her husband Justin Timberlake might have brought sexy back, but Jessica Biel is bringing sex to the forefront — of the conversation that is — thanks to a new online community called Tryst. The actress and producer partnered with Saundra Pelletier, from the nonprofit organization Woman Care Global (WCG), to spearhead the new sexual health and education campaign for girls and women. In 2015, Biel helped WCG launch a series of funny and informative videos about sexual health and protection, titled “If You Don’t Tell Them, Then Who Will?” The videos came out of Biel’s own questions about her body when she was thinking about having a family.“I just realized I was never taught…Something needs to change for the young women in this country… but also of course, the young men,” says Biel. “We want everyone to be body positive, and sex positive, and educated about their own personal bodies.”The Tryst partnership continues this series of videos, posted at Tryst.org, and the Tryst Network’s YouTube channel.“You know, we just want people not to be shameful,” about sex, Biel tells ABC Radio, admitting, “…and I want it for myself, too, because I still struggle with it.” The videos are designed to get women and men talking about that most important aspect of relationships. “I don’t have the answers — we don’t have the the answers,” Biel says, “but we really feel like coming at it from a humorous standpoint is our way in.” Helping on that front? Tryst’s first videos feature Chelsea Handler, a comic who hasn’t been shy about taking about sex her whole career, as well as I Love You Man funnyman Rob Huevel, who plays Jessica’s hubby.(Note sensitive video content.)
