Casablanca- Ikea, a Swedish, multinational furniture company, finally arrives in Morocco.Founded by Ingvar Kamprad, Ikea, a Swedish-born Dutch company, specializing in the design and retail of furniture and decorative items, prepares to settle in Morocco, according to Moroccan weekly magazine TelQuel.After finalizing its feasibility studies, the Swedish brand has already selected a site in Casablanca, where it will open its first store. The project manager and the franchise of Ikea will be SYH Morocco, a subsidiary of the giant Kuwaiti group, Al Homaizi.“Moroccans will soon have access to a wide range of aesthetic and functional products at very affordable prices,” TelQuel quoted the company manager as saying.According to the same source, the company will hire 300 people and create many indirect jobs.
