No growth trend in number of flights to city Margani Bharat

first_imgRajamahendravaram: Union Minister for Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri has said that no airline so far has shown interest to operate flights to Rajamahendravaram from Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. The airport is handling nine flights each of arrival and departure but there is no growth trend in the number of flights observed over a period of eight months, he said. Earlier, the MP asked him about the increase of flight services from the existing nine flights of arrivals and departures and operation of flights to metros in the country etc. The MP underlined the need to increase flight services as the air traffic is increasing month by month from Rajamahendravaram airport as it is centrally located between Amaravati and Visakhapatnam.
